35 and Thriving:
A Big Thank You to Our Volunteer Family!
This year, the Freewill Shakespeare Festival turned 35! It was a year of exciting challenges, as we brought the magic of Shakespeare to four different community league locations. This "touring" format was brand new for us, and it wouldn't have been possible without our incredible volunteers!
From set-up to box office, you were there every step of the way. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what make Freewill Shakespeare a success, and we can't thank you enough.
The volunteer experience was well organized and expectations were clear for each role. Training was clear and matched the experience at the site. Staff were visible and available, fellow volunteers were collaborative, and the popcorn was consistently delicious. Recommend this as a great volunteer opportunity.

It has been a few years since I have been a volunteer with Freewill but it was great to be back...and experience the magic isle of The Tempest in four very different communities and performance spaces. It was great to mix with the audience members as we watched the Bard in the great outdoors from our comfy lawn chairs. It was a fun and fulfilling month!

Even though this year was a little different than the previous ones, the staff and board members were just as kind and helpful as always. I love seeing familiar faces at the festival every year and meeting new volunteers too. - C.T.
