The Freewill Shakespeare Festival has an amazing history. Since its inception in 1989, the Festival has produced over 50 professional Shakespeare productions to the delight of nearly half a million people.

It is produced by the EdmontonAlberta-based "Free Will Players" every summer from late-June to mid-July, with performances in the 1,000-seat Heritage Amphitheater in Hawrelak Park in Edmonton.
